On May 5th 2024, drag artists and taxi drivers gathered with Mayor Halsema for a freedom meal at the Melkweg Expo. This Freedom Meal provided a platform for encounters and discussions about discrimination. The meal invited drag artists, members of the LGBTQIA+ community, and taxi drivers from TCA, Uber, and Bolt to foster understanding and empathy between the groups. A fantastic initiative by ‘House of Hopelezz’ in collaboration with Amsterdam’s taxi central, Uber, Bolt, the municipality of Amsterdam, and Melkweg Expo.
